I've been so lost in my projects and family life that I completely forgot to share everything I've been doing. I had to start over on the sprinkle munny because the sprinkles had fallen off in several patches and I wasn't sure how to fix it without the colors running. I had spray on finish now so it should hold up better.
Mostly I've made things inspired by the artists I love... mypapercrane crafts - i covered a bulliten board and made it look like an adorable little cottage. I painted a yeti on a square wooden DIY blank i found at hobby lobby for like 75 cents. I made a soft kriture scupture by first sculpting, baking and painting all the hard body pieces and then sewed together a squishy furry little body. I crafted a few little polymer clay things... an uglydoll redtooth wedgehead with wings and a sleepy chilly hat (if you're an uglydoll fan you'll know what i'm talking about,) an adorable little cupcake, coffee cup and a donut baby girl. I also sewed a fleece donut with embroidered rainbow frosting but it didn't turn out as good as I had hoped for.
I still haven't fashioned a body for my bat project either, but I have set up a nice little crafting desk and art wall to keep me inspired. pictures to come soon... and i still feel like I'm leaving something out.

Busy Busy Busy...
I've also been playing around with paint and clay and felt cut outs. I couldn't get a good picture but I used sculpy to create a bat head and hands. I've already baked him but I plan on painting and making a little white body out of fleece. Then I'll stick his hands in the bottom of the wings. I've also been working on painting a little chalkboard lap desk and a frame that I've painted white and plan on adding little baby things around the edges.
Then there's this little guy. I found the blank envelope wallet/purse at TJMaxx for like three dollars. I'd always wanted to make one of those.. I've had the design in my head since before high school (only more detailed,) but I thought it'd look even more adorable in the style of Heidi Kenney (an amazing plush artist.) I glued his face down with fabric glue and tonight I'm going to make a stamp for the other side.. I'm considering an address label. It'd look really cute stitched in cursive but I'm not that great at sewing.
My own plush monster is still in the works and only partially sewn and my two ft babo that I'm making from purple Tye-dye fleece isn't even cut out yet. Then there's also the sprinkle Munny that started this whole blog that still looks the same as it did the first night. I've got quite a lot on my plate but at least I shouldn't be bored anytime soon.

I feel like I've been doing a lot but I hadn't really completed anything. I'd been too excited coming up with ideas to focus, but with a little (or maybe a lot of) nagging I finally finished Bailey's Monster Plush. He LOVES it. I even did the embroidery I wasn't sure about. The minute I finished he whipped out some markers to color his backside. The best part about the whole experience is we had some bonding time. It isn't always easy being a step-mom especially since he's with his mother during the week and she has a completely different view on raising children.

Little Monsters come over for the weekend
I wrote his name on it for him and while he's at home this week I'm planning on embroidering it (or at least trying to) as a surprise. We'll see how that goes. He's getting better with his art work and actually trying. He just turned five in late February. At first I thought maybe he just wasn't that into art but I'm starting to think he just hasn't had a lot of practice considering how much fun he just had.
As for the Munny he's still patiently waiting for me to get supplies to finish him, but I did reattach his head.

My step-son Bailey came over today for the weekend and I thought we should do something fun together. Our project was to create our own little monsters in the style of Ugly Dolls. Then I'll sew them together and stuff them. He's pretty excited that he's going to be able to hug his own creation. He even insists that his monster is a baby - complete with belly button.

Day one of icecream munny
I don't have even close to all the supplies I need to finish. I haven't had a chance to make it to hobby lobby yet but I have a feeling it's going to take a lot to not go crazy as soon as I do. I need a spray clear coat so the sprinkles don't fall off along with some touch ups and paint and felt and pom-poms etc... It's becoming really exciting to me!
The bunny was just a little impulsive scupt from playdoh and isn't nearly finished. I'm going to have to get some real polymer clay since the playdoh has started to crack as it dried over night. I'm thinking about some little eyes like stuffed animals that you can just stick in might be cute.
Man it feels good to make stuff again.
I'll post more tomorrow as I do more work. My fiance's kids are coming over for the weekend and I might not get a lot done with them running around.

Trying To Rediscover Myself...
I'm trying to rediscover myself creatively. I always considered myself an artist since I was really small, but I never really found my medium or style. For years I've been blocked. Then I had my baby. My life has completely changed- it's like I've been reborn.
The ideas have just started flowing- bouncing around in my mind begging to be made. So I'm starting a blog to chart my progress and to keep myself going. Maybe somewhere along the line I can help inspire others to keep going while they inspire me as well.
Earlier I looked at all different kinds of art on the internet for hours. After that I felt I was going to burst if I didn't create something. I had purchased a blank Munny doll a few weeks ago during a sale at kidrobot.com and I've been throwing around ideas ever since. I started my first idea tonight.
